Bass Pro Tour at Lake Conroe

I was fishing as usual on Sunday, February 11th but the anglers on the lake weren’t the same old crowd I’m used to. I immediately noticed something was different. I saw a number of brand new boats wrapped in colorful graphics, fishing my favorite spots on the lake, and because I watch Major League Fishing some of these boats looked familiar …

When I got home that evening I looked it up and sure enough, those were professional fisherman! I started matching the anglers to the boats I saw and sure enough I saw Brett Ehler and Dave Lefebre,

Because I have a demanding (but rewarding) day job, I was unable to go back to lake conroe until Saturday 9/16/19 but I watched along when I could on Majorleaguefishing.com. When saturday came I was on the lake right when the sun came up. While launching my boat I saw Zach Birge on the water fishing the bridge by my marina. I boated around to my normal fishing spots and saw Kevin Van Dame fly by in his huge Nitro Z21. Awesome! It looked straight off of the TV, in real life. After a few hours, I noticed the temp wasn’t rising and it was actually getting colder so I decided to call it a day. I went home and continued watching online footage, watching how the pros made it look easy .

The next day I watched online until the tournament was over and then headed up to La Torreta Del Lago to watch the awards ceremony. It was awesome! My hat goes off to the pro anglers that fished this past week at Lake Conroe, especially the winner, Edwin Evers, who brought in 51lbs on the final day to win. Awesome!
