New Lowrance Elite with Latest Fish Reveal Software

So after my Big Bass Tour tournament and buying the Lowrance Elite 5 ti, I quickly realized that I need a bigger screen. My plan was to mirror the screen to an iPad on the bow of my boat but I decided to just buy a new unit instead. I went with the Lowrance Elite 9 ti. This will be my biggest fish finder I own because I still have my old Hook 7 and Elite 5ti. I plan on putting the Hook 7 on the bow connected to a transducer on my trolling motor. I’ll probably either go with the iPad mirror until I can get another 9 and NMEA 2k network. The Elite 5 ti will be used for kayak fishing.

The installation will be pretty easy since the transducer and mount is already setup. I’ll just swap out the 5for the 9 and go fish. I won’t be able to make it to the lake until Saturday so in the mean time I will update the software and install the new Fish Reveal update that Lowrance released earlier this week. I read a few how-to guides online and it looks easy enough. First I download the Fish Reveal update from the Lowrance website. Next I copy the .udp file onto my mini sd card. Then insert into my Lowrance Elite 9 ti. Then power it on. I’m curious to see how easy it is and I plan on making a video of me performing the update. Stay tuned!
